Krewe of Nauga Champagne Breakfast and Native Noontime Ball (Not 'til 2027)

The Krewe of Nauga Queen Number One Danah Gibson announced on December 2 that the Nauga Champagne Breakfast and Native Noontime Ball will not be held in 2026. She has dubbed it, “The Year the Music Paused.”

Gibson added, “Mardi Gras on Pensacola Beach is a symphony of color, music, and tradition, and no event embodied that spirit more than the Krewe of Nauga’s annual Pajama Party. Each year, beneath strings of glittering beads, on sugar white sands, with the sounds of the Gulf waves crashing, the krewe gathered in vibrant, whimsical pajamas, dancing the morning away in celebration of life, friendship, and the magic of Mardi Gras and most importantly for the furbabies.”

She added, “After a rigorous review of our collective energy levels, the Nauga Nation has unanimously voted to invoke the ancient sacred right to rest, healing, and hibernation this year. We are not canceling we are simply recharging our sparkly batteries. Therefore, the annual Krewe of Nauga Champagne Breakfast is officially taking off for 2026.”

The Krewe is already planning for the 2027 event, where 2025 Queen Lori Parsons will reign until a new Nauga Queen is crowned.

“In all of our discussion and deliberation, we discovered something profound,” said Gibson. “The true heart of our krewe wasn’t just in the revelry—it was in the resilience, love, and unity that carries us through both celebration and tough times. Laissez les bons temps... dormez tranquillement.”

NOTE: The date has NOT been set for 2027 (January 23 2027 is merely a placeholder/tentative date)
